The Renewables

The Renewables is a vibrant trio of bespoke characters designed to educate children about various forms of renewable energy for the Queensland Government’s Department of Energy and Climate. Zephyr, a friendly wind turbine, embodies the power of wind energy, while Henry Hydrogen represents an electrolyzed hydrogen molecule capable of powering everything from cars to planes. Meanwhile, Mega Watt signifies the energy generated from all these green sources. Initially created for an engaging display at EKKA 2024, these energetic mascots have since flourished, inspiring a range of materials like children’s workbooks, water bottles, reusable shopping bags, and portable solar-powered chargers.
